There shouldn't be compromises at this price point. But Samsung needs to release SOMETHING each year, no matter it is ready or not. If the technology is not ready yet, they should not sell it. I would keep it if it wouldn't have the banding and the BLB, already accepting all of these downsides, but this is basically enough. You won't notice in games, but on the desktop it is really hard to find a position where everything is really sharp. The only thing it really has is a nice size, but even there we would need a slightly better viewing-angle stability. I don't see a reason to pay for marketing non-sense that the actual product can not fulfill. When checking other display reviews from real customers, then there are displays out there which do exactly this. I don't need a label stating 240Hz if the image is unusable when activating it. I said it in other posts before, but imho they should have made a 144Hz display that has no scanlines, no flickering, no banding, no backlight-bleeding and no Infinity Core Lightning, but just works. I know that they all have their flaws by nature, but nothing that was promised is really working and I actually don't want to support Samsung in continuing like this. I want to trust my display at least to a certain degree. The other thing is, that I don't want to ask myself all of the times if any content is solid or not. In static content (that is not BSOD blue), you might start to ignore it, but as soon as it is moving, it will always become visible. Moving pictures (like looking up and down in games with a sky), increase the effect, as one directly sees that these lines aren't moving. I would agree that one can just "live with it", if the price of the screen would be about 1000 bucks less, but unfortunately, it isn't.
