Your ministry is truly a blessing to me and so many others. At the funeral, we read that day’s Scripture passage from the devotional and it was a comfort to us. We were devastated, but in his house, next to his bed, we found his copy of Our Daily Bread, open to the day he died. He became very depressed over a relationship and ended up taking his own life. He was a really good, hard-working, and healthy young man, but he got involved with drugs. I always gave him the devotional each quarter to help him understand God’s love. “About 15 years ago, my son died suddenly. And we know that it’s only with you, your families, your friends, your churches and your support that we’ve been able to share the good news of God’s love, grace, and forgiveness all over the world. And You.įor over 75 years, we’ve witnessed God’s faithfulness to the mission of Our Daily Bread Ministries. Our Story is really about God’s faithfulness. Regardless of whether it’s a radio or television broadcast, DVD, podcast, book, mobile app, or website, we provide materials to help people grow in their relationship with God. The Grand Rapids office shares a campus with our sister ministries, Discovery House and Christian University GlobalNet.īeyond the US, the work of Our Daily Bread Ministries is carried out by 35 offices working together to distribute more than 60 million resources in 150 countries. Our US headquarters is located in Cascade Township, on the southeast side of metro Grand Rapids and is home to almost 300 full time staff and 100 volunteers. Although our name has changed, our focus has always remained the same: reaching out to people all around the world with the message of God’s love. So in 2015, we changed our name to Our Daily Bread Ministries to more clearly communicate who we are. Today, we realize that most people recognize who we are by the well-loved devotional Our Daily Bread. ![]() Over the years our name has changed to better reflect the variety of resources we offer. Since then, our audience has grown to millions of people around the world who use our Bible-based resources. DeHaan quickly captured the attention of listeners in the Detroit area, and eventually the nation. It all started in 1938 with a small radio program called Detroit Bible Class.
